Just a quick entry to say so long for a couple of weeks to all my HT chat cohorts - I'm off tomorrow to Vegas and then immediately to the Grand Canyon for a while to hike and do the 6 day rafting trip (yay!). Then it's on to Bryce Canyon and Zion Canyon in UT and then back to Vegas for a couple of days. I'm really looking forward to the trip.

See y'all on the 9th for the Survivor finale (I get back the morning of the 9th) - I'll try to catch up on all my tapes before the final show!! :)

Well, I'm back. It's been pretty busy lately (as usual), but yesterday took the cake. I had to go to Campobello Island for work (at the border crossing) to do the server rebuild from Hell. What I hoped was only going to be a couple of hours turned into about eight. It was as if nothing could possibly go right. But, all that being said, I finally got the thing up and working. Whew! But, I did get to go for a drive and got out of the office. I even got to travel through the town of Lubec, in Maine, which is the Easternmost town in the U.S.!! You have to actually travel though part of Maine to get to Campobello Island, as it is down the coast a little from New Brunswick. In the Summer, it is very scenic, but the weather yesterday stunk. Rain, fog and winds were on all through the day.

What is interesting about Campobello is that it is the home of the Roosevelt Campobello International Park, which is where FDR had his Summer home. It is jointly administered by Canada and the US.

You know it's only a week and two days until my vacation? Well, it is!! Yay!

Well, today it was FINALLY nice enough out to go and do some yard work. But not before I went for a nice long walk in Rockwood Park in Saint John. It was nice enough that I was actually too warm while walking, even wearing a short sleeved shirt. It was great! And it did feel good to get out into the yard and do a little pruning. *clip, clip*

It is now just two weeks until my trip down to AZ, and my 6 day white water rafting trip in the Grand Canyon! We will also be visiting Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks on the same trip. It should be great!

Also, since I have next Monday off (gov employees get Easter Monday off) and then I leave on Friday of the next week, I only have 4 day weeks left!

I even got most of the work done on my taxes today - I hope to finish that up tomorrow. I sure hope I come up with a refund!
