Oct 26, 2005 - Namche to Phakding




Today we left Namche pretty late after a bit of shopping and so on. Bought a couple of yak bells. Then we left in partly cloudy skies, but the clouds seemed to descend and it was fairly damp for the rest of the day. We hiked until about 3:30, when we reached Phakding. I am still not feeling well, (my cold) so I had a little nap before dinner. It's been a pretty uneventful day so there's not a lot to report. It's too bad for a lot of the people going up today, since the views are very restricted. We had our last glimpse of Everest through the clouds on the way down from Namche. No more views!
Tomorrow, we will leave for Lukla for the last full day of our trek - if the weather is okay! If it is very cloudy, we may have to stay over another day.
