The State of Chicago

I found this entertaining, and unfortunately very true, article by John Dvorak on the PC Magazine website. Has anyone else encountered people like he's described? It appears to be more and more common.

I hope to get some more trip pictures on line later this evening or tomorrow!

It doesn't take much to encounter these people. There have been a few at the company where I work and take constant hand-holding. [Don't get me started!] I'm not even talking about technical things.

Personally, I blame 1) a scholastic environment where 'every answer has merit'...even wrong ones and non-participation, 2) too much TV and other entertainment that takes away personal imagination, interaction, and involvement, and 3) the indulgences of living in an affluent society where kids think life (and thinking) should be easy.
